SOUTH AFRICA & NAMIBIA: Cross-Cultural Travel Seminar, Mount Saint Mary's University/History & Political Science Department + Augsburgs College, Center for Global Education, 2008

The month-long travel seminar engaged students in critical analysis of the Sub-Saharan African society through immersion with local politicians and business leaders, participation in civic activities, volunteership in HIV/AIDS orphanages, and rural cross-cultural home-stay.





CAMBODIA: World Heritage Volunteers Program, United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) & Authority for the Protection and Management of the Region of Angkor (APSARA), 2017

The two-week program involved local government and non-profit agencies with 20 international volunteers in an archaeological and cultural education program at the largest UNESCO heritage site- Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia- to promote awareness of the Angkor temple parks and improve sustainable tourism.





HONDURAS: In-Home Environmental Health Infrastructure & Sustainability Volunteer Project, Global Health Bridgades, 2010

The week-long project goal was to generate sustainable  hygiene/sanitation and environmental health safety practices for local families in a rural sector through the construction of eco-friendly household structures alongside local communities. Volunteer students also developed and implemented educational health chats on self-care and hygiene for local  families and children.

U.S., ENGLAND, & GERMANY: Cultural Heritage Management Exchange Program, Claremont Graduate University, School of Arts & Humanities + Bath Spa University, 2023


A transdisciplinary course dually taught at Claremont Graudate University and Bath Spa University with visits to museums and  historical landmarks. Graduate students networked and engaged with museum leaders and UNESCO/heritage management experts about structural and economic forces that define how arts and heritage efforts are funded and protected amongst three countries. 

 

COSTA RICA: Global Leadership & Sustainability Course, Claremont Graduate University, Drucker School of Management2023

A transdisciplinary course centered on cultural and leadership immersion and transformation within the context of ecotourism, global development, and sustainability in Costa Rica. Graduate students learned from top Costan Rican leaders within the technology, entrepreneurship, civil society, and academic industries.
